Shape Plus Fitness Scholarship Guidelines

The Shape Plus Scholarship offers $1,500 to a high school senior, undergraduate, or graduate student who has shown exceptional achievement, active participation, and leadership in school and work activities, with an interest in pursuing a career in health and fitness. Recipients may use the funds for education-related expenses such as tuition, fees, books, supplies, and room and board. This scholarship is sponsored by Shape Plus.

The 2024 program will begin accepting scholarship applications on August 1, 2024, and will continue until either 1,000 applications are received or August 1, 2025, whichever comes first. To be considered, your application must be one of the first 1,000 submitted by the deadline.

Applicants to the Shape Plus Fitness Scholarship must:

• Must be a United States citizen or legal resident residing or claiming residency in one of the 50 states, Washington, D.C., or Puerto Rico.
• Must be a current high school senior, undergraduate, or graduate student intending to enroll full-time at an accredited two-year or four-year college or university in the United States for the entire 2025-2026 academic year.
• Must demonstrate ambition and self-motivation through notable achievements, active participation, and leadership in school activities and work experience.

• Demonstrate interest in pursuing a career and enrolled in at least one of the following majors or another health-related major: Health Policy, Health Sciences, Biology, Psychology, Behavioral Sciences, Athletic Training, Personal Training, Kinesiology, Exercise Science, Physical Therapy, Health and Physical Fitness, Physical Education Teaching and Coaching, Sports and Recreation Management, Nursing, Dentistry.

What will be awarded?

The Shape Plus Scholarship is designated for education-related expenses associated with undergraduate or graduate studies only. The one (1) recipient of the $1,500 scholarship award must utilize it during the fall semester of 2025.

How do I apply?

Students should gather the following information needed for the application process:

• Current high school or university cumulative grade point average (GPA) on a 4.0 or 5.0 scale
• Details of outstanding achievement in school
• List of involvement in school and community activities
• List of work experience

Only electronic scholarship applications submitted through the aforementioned process will be considered. Paper copies of applications, resumes, or any other materials will not be accepted.

Privacy policy

The information received is treated as confidential and will be reviewed solely by Shape Plus. No further contact will be made unless additional documents are required or the applicant becomes a finalist. No information is collected from site visitors.

Are any documents required?

No documents should be sent to Shape Plus at this time. Scholarship applicants chosen for further consideration will be notified via email to submit their high school or university transcripts along with an applicant appraisal confirming their academic achievements. Please do not send any materials until you are invited to do so.

When is the program open period?

The program will open on August 1, 2024. Only the first 1,000 scholarship applications will be reviewed. If the program receives 1,000 scholarship applications before the deadline of August 1, 2025, it will automatically close. Your scholarship application must be among the first 1,000 submitted electronically.

How are recipients selected each year?

The recipient selection process consists of two stages. In the first stage, semifinalists will be chosen, and a winner will be determined from the selected finalists in the second stage.

Applicants will be primarily evaluated based on their exceptional non-academic and academic accomplishments, as well as their responses to the essay questions on the online scholarship application.

Semifinalists and finalists will be notified via email and may be required to provide additional information, such as a current transcript of grades and an appraisal from an unrelated adult who is familiar with their achievements and experiences.

Shape Plus is responsible for selecting all finalists and recipients. All decisions made are final and not subject to appeal. The program is competitive; therefore, not all applicants will be chosen as semifinalists or finalists, and not all finalists will receive an award.

How and when will I be notified?

Semifinalist and finalist applicants will be informed of their status via email in August 2025. It is essential that the email address on file is active, and applicants should check their email regularly. Finalists will receive instructions on any additional documentation needed for recipient selection.

How and when are scholarships paid?

Payment will be disbursed in a single installment in September 2025.
Shape Plus LLC will issue a check.
Checks will be made payable to the school for the recipient’s account.

Shape Plus reserves the right to evaluate the conditions and procedures of this scholarship program and to make modifications at any time, including the possibility of terminating the program.
