The National Exercise Trainers Association’s Personal Trainer Certification (NETA-CPT) is accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA). NCCA grants accreditation to certifying programs based on the highest quality standards in professional certification to ensure the programs adhere to modern standards of practice in the certification industry.
NCCA-accreditation is widely recognized as the ‘gold standard’ for certification programs in the fitness industry. Candidates for NETA’s NCCA-accredited Personal Trainer Certification exam should be familiar with important information found in NETA’s Exam Candidate Handbook. Candidates are also strongly encouraged to review NETA’s Personal Trainer Study Guide.

We’re investing in future trainers who will change lives. Scholarships help cover NETA CPT coursework plus guided mentorship from our coaching team. (Mentorship is educational and not 1‑on‑1 personal training sessions.)

- 18+ years old by application deadline
- Intent to sit for the NETA CPT exam within 6 months of award
- Commitment to ethical coaching & continuing education
- Able to complete onboarding and progress check-ins
- U.S. resident (Colorado applicants encouraged)
Dates
- Spring Award Deadline: March 15
- Fall Award Deadline: September 15
- Notifications: ~2 weeks after each deadline
- Cohort Start: Within 30 days of award

Is this a full ride?
Awards vary. Some receive full tuition; others receive partial support based on need and cohort size.
Do I have to live in Colorado?
U.S. applicants are welcome; Colorado applicants are encouraged for in-person shadowing. Remote mentorship is available.
How does mentorship work?
Coach-led guidance on study plans, practical scenarios, and professional habits. It’s educational— not 1-on-1 client training.
When do I start?
Cohorts begin within ~30 days of award. We’ll align on your study schedule and check-ins.
What if I already purchased NETA CPT?
You can still apply—include your purchase date and remaining needs in the financial context field.
Can I reapply?
Yes—feel free to try again next cohort.
